They have worked their way up to the position of DoP through years of work the Lighting department alway understanding how it related to Camera.  Innes understands the storytelling power that cameras hold, especially the responsibility involved for those who work behind one with an active goal to de-gender and subvert the male gaze that has, for so long, gripped cinematography. Some of their work includes features; Before #Metoo (Hot Docs) Sifting (EastLink TV), Mickey (CBC Gem) and the multi-award-winning short film Duck Duck Goose (CBC Gem, Jury Prize COTB Film Festival, Best Short Film FIN Atlantic International Film Festival).

With a recent confident stride into Producing, the first short under their newly founded production company, Fennel Films Inc., was picked up for a three year run on CBC Gem after only a 2 month domestic festival tour. Their focus is to produce projects that tell powerful stories with women, minorities, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ identities at the helm.
